DeFabrique Team Winter Party
Colleagues who give it their all day in and day out deserve a huge, heartfelt THANK YOU. That’s why DeFabrique treats them to an annual party night full of surprises. The crazier, the better—because how else can you surprise people who deal with events every day? Two bright-yellow American school buses filled with pom-pom-waving cheerleaders and a brass band set the tone for an ultra-American high school prom.
Bigger, better, and bolder
America: the land of unlimited possibilities. That motto was lived out with great enthusiasm. This year, employees were surprised in six different rooms. Upon arriving at DeFabrique, the VIPs walked the red carpet, where they were almost mobbed by Buro Curious’ photographers, fans, and security guards—just like you see at the Grammys! The “overdressed” dress code resulted in a wide variety of outfits: from gala gowns to glittery suits, from gangster looks to outfits featuring the American flag.
With a glass of champagne in hand, you walked on to an American diner, where Marilyn Monroe look-alikes roller-skated past during dinner. And as if that weren’t enough: the Smederij had been transformed into a veritable Candyland filled with nothing but sweets. Surrounded by macarons, cotton candy, and roaming entertainment, guests felt as if they were in a fantasy world.
Prom King & Queen
But let’s not forget what we really came for: Prom Night! Time to dance in the Copraloods, which had been converted into a gym. Don’t sing too loudly—because the teachers were keeping a close eye on everything! This year, you couldn’t escape the crowds by heading to the restroom, because a secret party was going on in there. Luckily, the arcade provided some relaxation—or rather, pure excitement.
After plenty of dancing and jumping around, it was time for the Prom King & Queen. Colleagues had the chance to vote for their favorite outfit beforehand. After a lap down the catwalk, Kartfabrique was crowned the winner. Then it was time to keep shuffling… until a monster truck drove in and kidnapped the King & Queen to the afterparty, which was all about neon, neon, and more neon.

The Winter Party is a company party organized by and for DeFabrique Event Venue, DUS, Kartfabrique, Twenthe Airport, BRIQ Bookings, and Jan Verhuur. This event is a way to thank our colleagues for their hard work over the past year.
