DeFabrique strives to make the website https://www.defabrique.nl accessible to everyone. We are committed to meeting the accessibility requirements of WCAG 2.1 Level AA and adhere to the Dutch guidelines for digital accessibility.

Inseveral places, descriptive alt text is missing or incomplete.

Color Contrast
Certain text and buttons lack sufficient contrast, particularly when placed over images or visual backgrounds.



Forms: Labels are sometimes missing or are not correctly linked to input fields. Error messages are not always presented in a way that is accessible to screen readers.


Heading Structure
Longer text pages contain headings that can be semantically enhanced to improve navigation using assistive technologies.

DeFabrique is taking the following steps to further improve accessibility:


Short term

  • Add missing or improved alt text wherever possible.
  • Improving visual focus styling for keyboard users.


Medium term

  • Customizing and organizing headings within existing templates.
  • Improving forms (labels, ARIA attributes, and error messages).
  • Optimizing color contrasts within design components.


Long term

  • Developing accessible alternatives for floor plans and images containing a lot of information.
  • Editing PDF files or converting them to accessible HTML pages.
  • Ongoing monitoring and periodic review of the website.
