Thursday Cloud Foundation – Azure Lowlands

A conference or a festival? The Thursday Cloud Foundation, in collaboration with DeFabrique, presented a “conferfestival” brimming with inspiration, connection, and entertainment. A spectacular opening act, 35 inspiring speakers, spaces transformed in the style of iconic films, and delicious snacks: welcome to Azure Lowlands! Azure Lowlands is an annual tech festival organized by the Thursday Cloud Foundation, a Dutch nonprofit organization that organizes events to bring IT professionals from around the world together and share knowledge.

To inspire and connect

Upon arrival, your QR code is scanned, and you walk down the yellow carpet past areas featuring iconic movie characters such as Iron Man, Spider-Man, E.T., and replicas of vehicles from Batman and The A-Team. The opening was enhanced by dancers on roller skates performing spectacular stunts on a half-pipe.

The event features informational sessions, networking opportunities, an exhibition with gaming stations, and culinary highlights such as stroopwafels and fresh coconut macaroons. A full-service lunch rounds out the experience. Knowledge, networking, engagement, and great food all come together.

Inspire and come together

In addition to all the surprises, performances, treats, and experiences, the themes of connection and knowledge-sharing take center stage. National and international guests come together, share knowledge, and learn from one another. The strong sense of community is palpable, and the event’s impact grows every year.
