Every year, more than 128,000 people in the Netherlands are diagnosed with cancer—that's 14 people every hour.

Under the motto "Love life. Fight cancer.", Spin for Life encourages you to take action in your own way to support more research, for example by starting your own campaign, participating in an event, donating, or becoming a volunteer.

Join in with your colleagues: stronger together

Fifty colleagues from DeFabrique Holding also took part. Micky, product manager at Kartfabrique, was among them: "I wholeheartedly support this charity, especially since it's at my own workplace!" Micky cycled for her mother, who died of cancer seven months ago, and for her father, who is currently ill. Her boyfriend and a close friend cycled alongside her to show their support. The friend has also been closely affected by cancer, which only strengthened their motivation.

And it wasn't just motivation, because Micky managed to raise no less than €1856.03 with her participation! "It was such an incredible experience," she says. "You felt like you were doing it together, with colleagues on bikes and the support of everyone around you, from the office to the shop floor."

And you could feel that in everything: the encouragement from the sidelines, the music that pumped you up, and the realization that everyone there was cycling with the same goal. An emotional but meaningful day. A day when sport and togetherness came together: for a future in which cancer is no longer fatal.
