KLM Catering Services
Guests were enthusiastically welcomed to the KLM Catering Services party with a lively brass band, bubbles, and fresh gin and tonics. The party was held to thank their staff and celebrate 30 years as an independent company. The party was entirely in keeping with the "Around the World" theme. A theme that fits seamlessly with KCS, where employees not only work worldwide, but also come from all corners of the globe.
With 82 different countries of origin represented in the company, each warehouse at DeFabrique was transformed into six continents, each with its own unique characteristics. This allowed employees from all cultures to be seen and heard. From music that immediately transports you to the continent of space to guilds serving appropriate dishes, and from typical decorations from all continents to matching entertainment, the party brought together the diversity and richness of the world in one location.
Worldly concept
How do you turn a theme into a coherent whole? Our Event Producer Rochelle and Account Manager Jacqueline came up with the entire concept in collaboration with La Plume Media. From entertainment to music and from catering to decoration. As the link between all suppliers, the Event Producers took care of everything to create the right experience.
Guests were transported to different continents: from a Mediterranean square and après-ski area in Loods 6 to North American retro diner furniture with casino tables in Kalvermelk 1. In Loods 8, guests enjoyed Japanese okonomiyaki and an Asian karaoke caravan stood among the blossoms and bonsai trees.
The atmosphere of Africa was brought to life with plants and rhythmic djembe music in the Nieuwe Fabriek, while South America was represented with an empanada guild and a Latin band. And in the Copraloods? That's where the global party really got started.

For KLM Catering Services (KCS), we were given the opportunity to develop a beautiful total concept. With 82 different cultures within KCS, we wanted to organize a party that was accessible to everyone and reflected the diverse cultures. In honor of the company's 30th anniversary, the theme "30 Years Around the World" was chosen. During the party, all guests took a mini world tour through DeFabrique, where each room was transformed into a different continent with matching decorations, entertainment, catering, and performers. It was great fun to have the opportunity to contribute conceptually and creatively!"

Cultural concept
After enjoying drinks and tasting flavors from around the world, the guests were festively accompanied to the Copraloods by African drummers. Dressed according to a dress code reflecting their own cultural backgrounds, the guests stumbled upon a secret cocktail bar behind a bookcase on their way to the jazz room in Silo 36.
In the Copraloods, which was filled with globes, guests were given LED foam sticks and enjoyed a trumpet player performing covers. Ten professional dancers enchanted the guests with a cultural mix of dances, switching to a different cultural style every ten seconds. And when the music swelled and well-known artists such as Wolter Kroes, Floorjaxx, Corona's, and Shirma Rouse took to the stage, the party really got started. The cultural diversity and connection between KCS colleagues was celebrated with dancing and singing!
