Nelson celebrates a colorful 75th anniversary

Something for everyone

Guests were welcomed in the square with a colorful photo wall where they could take pictures together. In Kalverstraat, which was decorated with colorful garlands, a brass band played to give guests a warm welcome and a preview of what awaited them inside. Inside, guests were surprised with a range of activities offering something for everyone.

A bingo hall, karaoke caravan, and poker tables provided endless fun. A makeup artist was also on hand to give people an extra sparkle. Young people could let their hair down at the karaoke, while Silo 36 offered relaxation as a 'Speak-Easy-Lounge' with a jazz band in an intimate atmosphere. A butler welcomed guests and gave them access to the hidden bar through a bookcase.

Partying & celebrations

For dinner, guests enjoyed a variety of cuisines: from French fries to okonomiyaki and from meatballs to falafel. After dinner and all the festive activities, guests were treated to a spectacular laser show as the opening act. All the facts and figures about 75 Nelson were displayed to music by Faithless. This created a fantastic atmosphere, as did the performance by Emma Heesters! A festive expression of gratitude to all employees.

DJ Dames Draaien Door and party band Fusebox also got the entire room dancing. Guests were given LED sticks to create an extra lively atmosphere. And on the way home? Guests enjoyed a Friet Du Chique and sausage roll to savor on the way back.
