Campsite of the Year 2019
The ANWB Campsite of the Year Gala had a clear mission: to bring the house down! Attending (international) camping partners and tourist offices were to be blown away during the award show. This year, for the first time, the campsites were judged entirely by Dutch campers and not, as in previous years, by a professional jury. Six campsites won awards during a tasteful sit-down dinner.
3-course seated dinner
Good food is essential for a successful event, and our flavors truly delivered a wow factor. Between the confetti moments, guests were served a three-course meal. From the elegantly set tables, the aromas of dishes such as Vitello tonnato, Hachee, and a chocolate dessert spread throughout the Copraloods.

"For our guests, camping partners, and tourist offices from home and abroad, this is an event they look forward to every year. Winning this coveted award adds to that excitement. For us at the ANWB, it is very important that this event is a success. It allows us to showcase ourselves to the industry. The concept is actually devised together from behind our desks. It's great to see that everything came together and worked out perfectly during the evening. It exceeded our expectations."
made for an unforgettable experience.

"Sometimes you have events where you walk around with adrenaline pumping and goosebumps. In addition to my passion for organizing beautiful events, I get the most satisfaction from making music and enjoying good food. All of that came together wonderfully during the Camping of the Year Gala!"
6 winners
During the 2018 summer holidays, campsite guests voted for their favorite campsite based on nine criteria. Six campsites won awards at the camping gala, three in the Netherlands and three abroad. ANWB Travel Director Marjon Kaper and ANWB Camping Director Jaap van der Linden presented awards in three categories: the best family campsite, the best rental accommodation, and the most beautiful green campsite. When receiving the award, the public jury explained in detail why they had chosen this campsite. To add to the festivities, a musical trio and a 26-member choir alternately sang songs such as I'm So Excited and We Are The Champions. The evening literally ended on a high note, as the choir sang from the balcony to the guests who were on their way to a final drink in Silo36.
