6 tips for a valuable goodie bag

As an event organizer, you don't get the chance to give away a goodie bag worth $100,000 every day, like at the Oscars. What you can do is give out a goodie bag that everyone will really appreciate! With the following tips, you'll be able to surprise people even after they get home:

1. Repeat your logo

We'll start with something very simple, but oh so nice when you receive it: the pen! If we look at your pen collection, it will most likely consist of pens from a variety of companies. You can make sure that everyone prefers to write with your pen (with your logo, of course). Great offline marketing! Just make sure the pen works properly, otherwise it will end up in the trash.

2. Write on your goodie bag what's inside

Often, you are handed a goodie bag and told to enjoy it. You then put it somewhere out of the way until you come across it again during a big clean-up at home. Clearly label your goodie bag with its contents, and people will be more inclined to look inside!

3. Customize to the target audience/theme

If you have a large group of men, you obviously won't throw makeup samples in the bag. Think about the theme of the event and what kind of people will be attending. A group of sports enthusiasts who have just come from a presentation on Healthy Lifestyle will be happier with a sample of a protein shake than a bag of candy and a bottle of soda.

4. Adapting to the situation

When you think of a goodie bag, you immediately think of handing it out at the end of your event. But why not give it out at the beginning or in between? If you have a long hackathon coming up, you can hand out power food and drinks in advance. Did you throw a party where people drank a lot? Maybe a bottle of water and some paracetamol wouldn't be such a bad idea ;).

5. Support your customer on their way home

Who doesn't carry a smartphone these days? Whether it's an iPhone, Samsung, or HTC, everyone uses them extensively. How nice is it to have a power bank with you when you have to travel all the way home with only 5% battery left!

6. Give them some energy

Everyone has to do it every day, needs it, and sometimes accidentally does too much of it: eating. Treat people to a delicacy in their bag. Of course, it is useful to take the dietary requirements of the group into account. In addition, these are ideal opportunities for puns. "You made us go nuts" or "Your attendance really 'mint' a lot to us."
