Royal Netherlands Army
Freedom cannot be taken for granted. World War II ended 75 years ago, and to this day, the Royal Netherlands Army works every day to ensure peace and security for all. During the annual Spring Ball, the Royal Netherlands Army therefore commemorated not only the King’s birthday but also this milestone: 75 years of freedom. All of this was surrounded by the flower of freedom: the tulip.
Through Silo 36, guests walked the path to freedom. In each alcove, museum pieces were highlighted that together told the story of the path to freedom. This began with the Normandy landings during World War II and ended with the Invictus Games. After a personal greeting from the General, they entered the Park of Freedom. Two five-meter-tall tulips and a nostalgic Café de Vrijheid set the scene for a four-course dinner with a touch of spring. Guests chatted with one another in the park while dishes such as vitello tonato, burrata, and boeuf bourguignon were served.
Program & Experience
The advantage of the Copraloods? You can move from party to party all within the same space! That way, you can keep surprising your guests all evening long. The back of Café de Vrijheid suddenly became a passageway to the dance floor. Goosebumps spread through the room when the soldiers present stood at attention and the general’s military aide read the King’s telegram to those in attendance. Immediately afterward, veteran and former contestant on The Voice of Holland, Dennis Kroon, began singing the Wilhelmus. Cheers to a wonderful evening! The guys from White Vision brought the evening to a festive close. Fun fact: not just them, but our entire staff was dressed to the nines! The out-of-the-box thinking for the next party has already begun.

“Thank you all for making this unique event a success. Without your creative input and this enthusiastic team, it wouldn’t have been possible.”
made for an unforgettable experience.

“Following the success of last year’s event—which drew 250 guests—this year’s attendance reached 380 guests. DeFabrique and the Royal Netherlands Army worked tirelessly to make the event unforgettable, and the fact that there were so many more guests this year is a wonderful confirmation of that. Once again, everything came together perfectly. The theme of 75 years of freedom was reflected throughout the decor, and our staff was also dressed in full style.”
